Seeking the positive in recession

Joshua Harris, senior pastor of Covenant Life Church in Gaithersburg, Maryland, recently preached two sermons covering Luke 12:13-34. He sought to encourage his people to evaluate the current economic recession from a biblical perspective, and here are links to the sermon audio along with a few good quotes that Tony Reinke extracted from the sermons.

I'd encourage you to follow the links to the sermons and listen to them if you are struggling with thoughts about God's care and protection of His children during this difficult time, or if you simply want to be encouraged and reminded that God does in fact love you and have your best interest in mind. After all, "if God so clothes the grass, which is alive in the field today, and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, how much more will he clothe you, O you of little faith!"
